Welcome to the Hawkwind Bootleg Emporium.

I think you will find that there’s no other Hawkwind site on-line that is like this.
Feel free to post your own Hawkwind and related recordings.
This can be done in two ways:
1. By posting a link in the comments to one of our pages
2. Signing up and speaking to Nicky about giving you contributor Access.
You will then be able to sign up and post directly to the site (pending moderation)

This page is for Hawkwind fans to share and collect LIVE Hawkwind and related bootlegs FREE via This Site & Our Facebook page using file sharing Dropbox & Mega or anything similar that is free to use.

This Page is fully cleared with the band (Hawkwind) but there is one rule: no posting official released stuff or you will be banned.

WeΒ have a vast collection of Hawkwind bootlegs that we wish to share with fans less fortunate than ourselves.
We only ask that you respect and adhere to the Hawkwind management trading/sharing policy, see link below for up to date information.

I would also like to thank all the fans past and present who have recorded anything we share on here without whom we would have nothing so massive thanks to you all and long may it continue.

Finally thanks for joining our the site/facebook group. We hope you enjoy these recordings as much as we do. Lots more stuff to be added in the future so enjoy and share these recordings as far and wide as possible. ONWARD!!!!

We also have a Youtube channel of the same name with lots of nice Hawkwnd videos to watch at your own Leisure.

Hi All, I’ve found a little error amongst the downloads! “1975-01-26 Edmonton Download ZIP 20 files total” should read “1974” not 1975 see Starfarer’s Gig & Set Lists for the two years in question. Vorrn

Interesting! what were you using before? – It would be good for me to learn what was causing the problems so I can try and stop other users getting them in the future.

Glad all is okay now for you though!

I was running an XP computer and using internet explorer. There were script/compatability errors on the page that were reset before going any futher. I also find that the page layout was different using I.E.
All of the gigs had circles to the left going round. I could click the gig title to see track listing, and then start a download, but it would never complete or allow me to playback what had .tried to download.
I’ve just bought a new computer that works fab, although I downloaded 1 song as a test yesterday which took 5 minutes,strange..

Interesting it took so long, it doesn’t usually for me.

It does depend on a few things, like your connection/contention, the sites contention/bandwidth, and so on.. but 5 minutes for one song still seems a bit slow. I would expect it to be 5 minutes per large zip file.

I will have a look in to it, I may have to look in to upgrading the server if we are starting to get slow downs like this.

Glad the new PC is working for you… I will try different version of IE on Win 7 & Win 8 and use “edge” on win 10..

Although one thing I would say for any user anywhere… stay away from microsofts browsers… Firefox and Chrome are so much better…

    HAWKWIND
    LONDON, LYCEUM BALLROOM, UK
    20.July.1980,

You wanted full version of this concert. I’ve got my own ‘audience’ copy which I’m happy to upload – but how? I don’t see an upload button. The quality isn’t great and is mono (I was poor in those days – it was recorded on a cheap cassette player/recorder probably with the limiter on), but it is all there. If you (or someone you know) can clean it up, treat it to false stereo etc., please do, but I want a copy!

Ah, the unique sound, energy and atmosphere of those ’79 – ’80 gigs, utter bliss.
Simon King is playing like a man possessed, Blake’s Crystal Machine is ethereal, perfectly toned and sublime never bettered, Huwie’s style is fresh, incredible, melodic, mindblowing and innovative, Bainbridge just where he should be on harmonic vocal support and clever Ricky bass, and Brock perfect – leading from the front vocally, solid strong rhythm guitar sound & technique and analogue synth-space-heaven. My all-time fav line-up and setlist captured on the best bootlegs know to man, beast or musicnaut, wow.
