HI Nicky72, I just made the find of my life: your site! I have been a huge fan of Hawkwind since the seventies so this a real treat to me, thanks for setting uo this site. Maybe a stupid question: where can I find the concerts from 2013 onwards? Cheers, Andre

    • nicky72

Hi Andre, glad you like the site its not bad hey haha? As for 2013 gigs onwards the band dont allow any recordings post 2012 to be shared publicly due to the trading policy that is in place so i am not allowed to put any up on here. If you email me we can have a chat further about this if you like 😉 at nickcarroll_2002@yahoo.co.uk . Enjoy the music mate see u at a gig maybe one day.

  2. pork

Hello Nicky72 and others. Amazing collection here. Is there a place for discussion on best recordings or favorite shows? Any way I can communicate in private with you? Also any place to get FLAC shows?

    • nicky72

Hello mate, i have a facebook group thats where all the chat and other stuff happens the site is merely the place the come for one stop collecting so get on facebook and join us very fast replies to questions and requests, As for FLAC theres numerous gigs avaible in that format via the FB group as the files are to big to store we only post MP3 up on here or contact me via my email if you dont hve access to facebook @ nickcarroll_2002@yahoo.co.uk

Hi Nicky, as everybody has said, a fantastic site for Hawkfans and congratulations for making it a pleasure to use (most of the time!). Does anybody have a recording of the 73/74 gig at Leeds Queens Hall – I think it was early ’74, but may have been late ’73, my first gig.

    • nicky72

There’s no recording of that gig as far as im aware mate sorry, glad your enjoying the site (most of the time) haha 😉

  16. PXR5

MANY THANKS for your fantastic work on this site, Nicky 🙂 🙂 🙂

  17. Dead Alien

Post above was meant as an answer to paul4003, not sure why it didn’t appear below his post. Anyway all those are outstanding. There are probably some more, I haven’t digged into everything yet.

Looking forward to the 1992 uploads and great big thanks again for putting this site together. 🙂

    • nicky72

Cheers, been away following the Hawks on there mini tour, done 7-9 gigs they played haha. i’ll upload 1992 next as its also one of my favourite years!!

  19. paul4003

wow so much to choose from – does anyone have any recommendations?

    • nicky72

      Which years Paul??

      • paul4003

I particularly like the Calvert era but anything with decent sound quality really – as much as I like Hawkwind I don’t really want to download everything here 🙂

    • windhawk

Hello Paul4003, try if you have not in your collection for example: 1977 Hammersmith Odeon London, 1978 New York Bottom Line (Late Show), 1980 Chelmsford, 1982 Goldiggers Club Chippenham, 1983 Stonehenge Festival, 1985 Sheffield City Hall, 1991 New York. Have A Nice Hawk Day!

      • paul4003

Thanks for that Windhawk – Will try the Hammy Odeon first. What is the Glasto 81 like quality wise – was my first hawkwind experience 🙂

        • paul4003

Actually why don’t I just dowdload it and find out !!

        • windhawk

Hi Paul 1981 Glastonbury is not the top quality, but must have for Hawkwind fans too. I wrote somewhere about that gig that was probably acid tasted like. I think that Hawkwind had 3 guitars in 1981. 1981 recordings are quite rare and strange, like them much!

          • lemmy a fiver

Hi Windhawk. Glasto 81 was recorded on mix desk up until Brainstorm, that was added as a audience recording. If I remember (maybe I am wrong ) did Dave break a string during ‘Shot Down’) and it was incredible stuff by H.L.L. as he took over for that track…..unbelievable playing…….if I am wrong it might have been the dodgy ‘supper time treats’ I indulged in, Think I am right though

          • nicky72

            Think your correct Gerry 😉

  20. utopia

This is a truly fantastic site for us hawk fans. Is there a copy of my first gig out there anywhere – Usher Hall Edinburgh 1975-09-09 ? Cheers

  21. windhawk

Thank You very much for Your great work. It is the best place for Hawkwind fans and collectors i found through years on net. Simply to download more torrents in the same time. Plenty of gigs from 1981-1984 makes me really happy, because this Hawkwind era is interesting for me for nik turner is back and for 5 (?) different drummers playing these years too. Another great era was in 1976. A few bootlegs exists from that year, so these shows were very rare, with Rudolph on bass. And 1975 Warrior on the edge of time tour gigs with first live versions of Assault & Battery, Golden Void, Magnu and Opa-Loka are treasures too.

  22. Synthi

Wow, the list gets longer, fantastic. I can’t wait for the Manchester 15.11.79 files to be uploaded as this was my first ever Hawkwind gig so will be great to hear it again!

  23. SNOWFROGG

just a small question and im prob the only person who doesn’t know but why is there a big gap between 1994 and 2004, are there shows to go in there or was there a ban?
sorry if this has been asked and i miised it 🙂

    • nicky72

No mate, they will be added when i get time, got hundreds here to sort through!! I have uploaded requested years on our facebook group. So dont worry there here and will be up soon 😉

  24. SNOWFROGG

oh wow, thank you all so much 🙂

  25. Sands of Time

Lots of great stuff but ‘1979-01-12 Hammersmith Odeon, London (soundboard) not complete 79’ gives File 31d6cfe0d16ae931b73c59d7e0c089c0.zip not found!

  26. silverren

Thank you so much for the COTBS shows! 1985-12-02, simply stunning recording. Harvey’s synth cutting clean through the mix in Song of the Swords – it’s paradise…

  27. Furfoxsake

Nicky thanks so much for such a great job, some awesome stuff here, dont suppose you have the Birmingham gig from the Black Sword tour to upload do ya ?
Keep up the great work mate

  28. Lucky Leif

What an incredible archive. I’m “Lucky” indeed! Sincerest thanks from Western Oregon. These may be the closest I get to an actual live concert, though I had tickets for the SF show in March. . Still holding out hope the Hawks fly this way once again. At any rate, your work is appreciated!

  29. bzfgt

I do lean a bit toward the stuff with Lemmy, but I dig all the other eras too…I am more interested in really good sound quality than anything else. In other words, a great-quality recording from 2004 would interest me more than a so-so quality recording from 1973…Thank you very much for taking the time!

    • nicky72

Leave it with me mate, there’s loads of great sounding recordings from 2004 i’ll upload all 2004 shows once I have complete 1984!!

  30. bzfgt

Thanks for this! There’s so much here it’s overwhelming…I wonder if people could recommend a few that are of really good sound quality?

  31. crazypoet

Hello I have problems with this files. It is only with me or there is a problem with the files.? Thank you so much 1982-11-13 Hammersmith Odeon Download ZIP 19 files total

  32. nonemoreblack

Oh yes, Bradford St. Georges Hall 1982, my first ever Hawkwind gig – I’ve looked for this for years and never found it!

    • nicky72

Glad you found it here ;)! Tons more gems to come stay tuned.

      • redbaron

Hopefully I can help you add a few more, though I’m hoping that the Dunstable 08/03/84 is the complete recording, one of my favourite gigs and the copy that is usually in circulation is my recording but I ran out of tape during the island, but I recorded many other gigs at that time with my trusty Sony walkman 🙂 I’m in the process of getting my old tapes out and digitising them.

        • nicky72

There Dunstable I have is 110 minutes long will have to listen and let you know if it changes on the Island, what others tapes do you have redbaron? Really interested in these.Have you shared any in the past or are they uncirculated recordings your own?Cheers. THBE!

          • redbaron

i’ve shared a lot of them in the past, but i probably didnt do the best of jobs of transferring them to digital, the hammersmith odeon 13/03/1984 is one of my recordings that i can remember offhand, recorded on a sony wa-55 with built in mics. i’ll get all my tapes done asap and will try to find a way to share them 🙂

          • nicky72

Nice one,if you email me we can sort something out with regards to sharing them if that’s ok with you! I have the Hawkon 85 Manchester recording and video,is this the same as yours ?

        • nicky72
